With reference to your predecessor's Despatch No. 192

of the 24th. July, 1914, granting permission for a lease of an area

of land in Taumati to the Chinese Church Body as a site for a Church, I have the honour to inform you that an application has now

been received from the Church Body to combine this site with K.I.L. 1085 which is shown on the plan which accompanied my Despatch No.232 of the 26th. June, 1914. This lot is held on a 75 years lease from 5th. June, 1900, the effect therefore of combining the two leases would be to extend the lease of K.I.L.1085 for a period of 14 years to which I have no objection and I would ask your permis- -sion to accede to their request.
